I joined the team in 2012 as the co-editor of the NODA News and the Advertising/Classifies editor and after a short break became the lead editor in 2018. I volunteer in other capacities for NODA including formatting the recognized show program, the banquet program, formatting ads and writing articles, as well as taking photos and helping out at various events. My dressage partner is a 2008 Welsh cross pony, Aleksandr Robyn (aka Alaska) who lives at home at Spruce Narrows Farm in Seville. We train with NODA Professional Liaison, Emily Gill. In 2023 we took the leap to show in two Recognized Dressage Shows and a Recognized Working Equitation show which was quite a bit of fun and a learning experience. Supported in all things equestrian by my husband, Denis, we also have our Friesian mare, Sietske, and two standard poodles, Supai and Piegan at home. When I'm not riding, I treasures time with family, grandchildren, hiking, volunteering, and gardening.

After taking an 18-year long break from riding, I was fortunate enough to begin taking lessons from my coach Cheryl Cottine with Aspiring Equestrian. Very quickly I found that once a week was not enough time in the saddle, and lessons quickly turned into leasing. During this time, Cheryl introduced me to an OTTB she was rehabbing named Risible, and I immediately fell in love. ‘Riz’ is 2014 17 hand chestnut gelding with a ton of personality, so after leasing him for a few months, I purchased him in October 2022.
The 2023 show season was exciting for us, as it was a first for both of us to enter a dressage ring! We’ve both learned so much over the last year, and I’m excited to continue developing this special horse through the levels with Cheryl. I love the sport of dressage, and the NODA schooling shows have been so helpful in our development. I wanted to find a way to give back to this community and get more involved and have had the pleasure of working with Mosie and Patty the past few months as the advertising and classifieds coordinator. When I’m not at the barn, I’m working towards my goal of visiting all of the national parks, playing tennis, and spending time with my German Shepherd, Lana.
