MAY 9, 2008  List of Qualified Nations for the 2008 Olympic Games – UPDATE

We are pleased to provide you with the updated list of National Federations qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong. Please note that we have completed the list with CHN and HKG NFs. (Reader friendly tables and detailed information is available on the FEI website at: http://www.fei.org/Events/Olympic_Games/Pages/Qualification.aspx )

A total of 42 Countries have qualified, either with team or individual, to participate in the 2008 Olympic Games. According to the Qualification procedures of each discipline - FEI Regulations for Equestrian Events at the Olympic Games, 22nd Edition, effective for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (Hong Kong).
National Federations have until 30 May to confirm their participation.

JUMPING
Team (16 NOCs will be qualified to take part with a team consisting of 4 riders and 4 horses or 3 riders and 3 horses as follows):

Individual (15 spaces will be reserved for NOCs not represented by teams, each competitor with 1 horse, with a maximum of 2 riders per nation):

MAY 9, 2008 - Update on ticketing for the 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events

The Equestrian Committee (Hong Kong) of Beijing Organization Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad would like to convey to you the following updates about the ticketing arrangements of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games including the 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events for citizens residing outside the territory of People's Republic of China (except Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province):

"The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) is responsible for the allocation of over 7 million tickets for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games including those for the 2008 Olympic Equestrian Events to National Olympic Committees (NOCs) worldwide.

Nationals residing outside the territory of People's Republic of China (except Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province) should buy the Olympic tickets, including those of the Equestrian Events, through the NOCs of the countries or territories they come from or the official ticket sales agents appointed by their respective NOCs.
